Ashley greets you with a warm smile as soon as you enter our office. After finishing her studies at Queensborough Community College, she joined us in 2021. She expertly manages our daily schedules and loves catching up with both her coworkers and our patients. Outside work, Ashley enjoys time with her mini poodle, Benji, shopping at Target and baking delicious treats every Saturday.
Carolina
Receptionist | Treatment Coordinator | Assistant
Carolina joined our team in 2019. She is dedicated to increasing the productivity of our office work and ensuring our patients feel well cared for, just like family. She loves working with her colleagues and is always eager to learn more about dentistry. Carolina is finishing her studies at Queens College and hopes to attend dental school afterward. She desires to become an orthodontist, but still has many dreams and aspirations she wishes to achieve. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, meditating, shopping, keeping her space tidy, and spending time with family and friends.
Jamilcah
Jamilcah graduated from Abeka Academy and joined us in 2022. She does a wonderful job wherever she is needed, whether it is cleaning instruments, filing things away, pouring impressions or assisting chairside. She learns something new each day, and we appreciate her efforts. Outside the office, Jamilcah enjoys learning new languages, reading, singing and training her birds.
Karol
Dental Assistant
Karol joined our team in May 2021 and is well liked by everyone she meets. She speaks both English and Spanish and gets along well with all our staff. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and her dog, Gigi. She is also a big fan of K-dramas, dancing, K-pop music and attending concerts and festivals.
Perla
Office Manager
Perla went to school for dental hygiene and started working as a chairside assistant here at Sunshine Dental in 2007. After taking a hiatus in 2017, she came back in 2022 as our office manager, adeptly handling billing among other responsibilities. She loves her team of girls and appreciates how hard they work to keep the office flowing. Outside of work, Perla enjoys quality time with her family, many of whom have trusted Dr. Kohan with their dental and orthodontic needs.
Romina
Dental Assistant
Romina started working at our office in April 2021. She is always ready to work with a smile on her face and enjoys the relationships she has with her co-workers. Outside the office, she likes to watch K-dramas, go on walks and attend concerts and festivals. She also likes to dress up with a fun wig for Halloween and Christmas.
